The Frist Art Museum opened in April 2001, and since that time has hosted a spectacular array of art from the region and from around the world. The Frist Art Museum was conceived as a family-friendly place and one of the most popular locations in the center is the innovative Martin ArtQuest Gallery. It’s a colorful space alive with the sounds of learning through making art! ArtQuest activities abound for people of all ages. With 30 interactive stations, and the assistance of knowledgeable staff and volunteers, ArtQuest teaches through activity. Make a print, paint your own original watercolor, create your own colorful sculpture! It’s all there in ArtQuest, and it’s free with gallery admission for adults and always free for youth 18 and under. While at the Frist Art Museum, be sure to stop by the Frist Art Museum’s beautiful Gift Shop. There, you’ll find a fabulous array of art prints, books, educational materials, art supplies, clothing, blown glass, pottery, and magnificent jewelry made by local and regional artisans. Items are available in a wide range of prices, so there’s always something to fit your budget. Because much of the merchandise relates to the Frist Art Museum’s exhibitions, the array changes often. Goo Goo Chocolate Co.

Located in the SoBro area of downtown Nashville, just steps off Broadway, the Goo Goo Chocolate Co. reopened in November 2021 after a $2 million transformation — chocolate covered light fixtures, chocolate flowing from pumps, an ingredient wall, and an overhead conveyor belt — starring Nashville's own Goo Goo Clusters. The chocolate factory includes design-your-own confection stations, a full-service chocolate bar featuring boozy milkshakes and bonbons, as well as interactive classes in a classroom space. Grandaddy's Farm

Grandaddy’s Farm has been run by the Dixon family since early 1951. From Charles Dixon in 1951 to current operators Andrew and Philip Dixon, the family tradition at Grandaddy’s is strong. Charles Dixon & his wife worked the land around their home and raised four children, all while Charles worked full time in hardware store in Decherd, Tennessee. Fast forward a few years and the Dixon brothers’ grandfather followed in his father’s footsteps: farming the land and working a full time job. Eventually, their grandfather decided that farming full time was the path he should take. Tradition held true and Andrew and Philip’s father eventually joined in on farming full time. The Dixon brothers, fourth generation farmers, have now taken their place as the farmers of Grandaddy’s land. The Dixon family has a vision to share the joys of farming, agriculture, and agritourism with their community. For the Dixon brothers, the memories made on the farm were too precious not to share with the community and their love of agriculture makes it easy to continue the tradition started by Charles 70 years prior. Founded in 1900; the original Gus Mayer department store was located on Canal Street in downtown New Orleans. The first Birmingham location opened in 1922 in the Retail Block on 5th Avenue North. When asked what was needed in our community, Hip Donelson responded, “We want a farmers market!” An enthusiastic group of volunteers began planning to make this dream come true, and the Hip Donelson Farmers Market opened mid-summer 2012.
