Abintra Montessori School

Founded by a small group of parents, Abintra opened Nashville’s first Montessori elementary program to nine elementary students in 1981 as an independent, nonprofit, educational organization. Abintra is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees, composed of current and former Abintra parents and alumni and Nashville community members.

The mission of Abintra Montessori School is to assist in the development of the individual child and adolescent by providing a quality education based on Montessori principles and philosophy.
