In its nearly sixty-year history, Aquinas College has maintained the same central focus: A desire to serve the Church through the apostolate of higher education, forming individuals who are prepared to be witnesses to Truth and Charity. Aquinas College is both distinctively Catholic, faithful to the teachings and magisterium of the Church, and distinctively Dominican, owned and operated by the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia Congregation.

Aquinas College has recently intensified its focused on the mission upon which it was founded, the mission of Catholic education. Our strategic plan, Sent to Witness, sets forth our vision statement:

To be a leader in the formation of educators who are sent forth to teach, preach, and witness to Truth and Charity for the salvation of souls and the transformation of culture.

Aquinas College strives to cultivate a student experience that contributes to the development of the whole person – intellectually, morally, spiritually, and professionally. Aquinas College students receive an education that integrates faith, culture, and life, providing an opportunity for personal growth in wisdom, knowledge, and virtue, which can then be used to transform the lives of those they will serve. Through this formation in the Dominican tradition, Aquinas College prepares its students to be teachers and leaders in schools and communities.
