Butchertown Hall, an homage to chef-owner Terry Raley’s Texas Hill Country roots as well as the Germantown neighborhood’s butcher shop culture, has been an unqualified hit since its February 2015 opening. Wood-fired cuts of beef, pork and chicken — including some of the area’s finest brisket — and nicely charred vegetables dominate the menu. The well-stocked and busy bar includes a top-notch agave selection.

Full bar. Serving lunch and dinner 11 am-10 pm Mon-Thu, 11 am-11 pm Friday, 10 am-11 pm Sat, 10 am-10 pm Sun. Sat-Sun brunch 10 am-3 pm. Happy hour food and drink specials 4-6 pm Sun-Thu.

MUST EATS: Oak-roasted marrow bones, smoked chicken wings, tacos, brisket, loin back ribs, redfish and mussels, sweet potato hash, fire-roasted shaved sweet corn.
