Hillsboro Village stalwart Cabana Taps makes Southern-style small plates – known as appetizers back in the day –  a star of the show rather than a sidelight. That’s just one reason the restaurant and bar, opened by noted restaurateur and former owner Randy Rayburn (Midtown Cafe) in 2005, has been among the go-to spots for meetings and charity benefits large and small, as well as one of the city’s most popular spots for late-night dining. The restaurant’s name comes from its intimately recessed, semi-private cabanas. The back room features garage doors that can be lifted when weather permits to create a casual, open-air feel.

Full bar. Open 3 pm-3 am Mon-Wed, 10 am-3 am Thu-Sun.
