Perennial “Best Barbecue” winner in the Nashville Scene readers poll and with a The New York Times shout-out to its credit, Edley’s Bar-B-Que ranks among the city’s best barbecue spots because of its ‘cue as well as its genre-busting bar scene. Open since November 2011 in the original 12 South location and with added outposts in East Nashville (2013) and Sylvan Park (June 2016), Edley’s offers craft cocktails as well as the requisite beers and sweet tea to accompany your smoked meats. Keep in mind that the superior brisket is available at lunch only (and is prone to sell out earlier rather than later), and that pork ribs and burnt ends can be ordered at dinner only.
Full bar. Kitchen hours: Serving lunch and dinner 11 am-10 pm Mon-Fri, 10 am-10 pm Sat-Sun. Sat-Sun brunch 10 am-1 pm.
MUST EATS: The Tuck Special (brisket), pork platter, wings, mac and cheese
“Edley’s Bar-B-Que has great daily specials, so read the menu before you spring for the pulled pork sandwich. Smaller portions leave plenty of room for sides, like the bean salad.”
