Ellington’s brings nostalgic, mid-20th-century dishes elevated with modern panache to the downtown Arts District. Located on the fourth floor of the Fairlane Hotel, Ellington’s features a stunning wraparound terrace with lounge seating and fire pits as well as two private dining rooms, both with a dedicated outdoor terrace section. Concepted by Nashville-based Oliver
Hospitality and designed by Reunion Goods & Services, the space is a modern interpretation of a midcentury private club, with plush banquettes, retro lighting and an aura of exclusivity. Guests enter via a private entrance, going straight to the fourth floor for perch-like views of the action below. Décor that harkens back to the 1960’s and 70’s, a nod to the restaurant’s former
life as the executive-office floor of the now-defunct Fidelity Federal Savings & Loan.

Christopher Ayala was appointed executive chef in late 2021 and is the the face behind the flavorful menu that rolled out that fall. He has a fresh approach to New American cuisine and utilizes local ingredients whenever possible which is the driving force behind the culinary vision at Ellington’s. Chef Chris has put his farm to fork focus and contemporary flare on every aspect of the menu but has kept the staples Ellington’s has been known for like the fan favorite, Bone-In Pork Chop.
