Hai Woon Dai

Hai Woon Dai

Korean immigrants Yun and Jung Choo are best known for their outstanding sushi rolls at Samurai Sushi on Elliston Place. And they feature the real-deal fare of their native country at Hai Woon Dai, which attracts transplanted Asians and local foodies of all sorts for their takes on bulgogi, bibimbap and other Korean specialties.

Beer available. Serving lunch and dinner 11 am-10 pm Tue-Sat, noon-10 pm Sun. Closed Mon.

“They do all of the standards right, as well as some lesser known dishes, including budae jjigae (‘G.I. stew’), which features hot dogs, Spam, tofu, kimchi and noodles in a spicy red sauce. The banchan, complimentary side dishes, are also top notch.”
