Executive chef-partner Hal Holden-Bache and GM-partner Cara Graham (both ex-Eastland Cafe) continue as East Nashville culinary darlings since opening Lockeland Table in August 2012. As such you’d be wise to call ahead for reservations significantly ahead of time for the chance to dine on modern comfort food in the rustic, friendly environment of a restored soda shop on Woodland Street, although a community table always remains available for walk-ins. The talented Holden-Bache’s menu reflects the seasons and locally sourced ingredients.

Full bar. Serving dinner 5-10 pm Mon-Sat. Closed Sun. Community hours 4-6 pm Mon-Sat, with a portion of proceeds benefiting Lockeland Design Center PTO, with snacks, drinks and kids menus available.

MUST EATS: Chicken liver pate in a jar, roasted bone marrow, wood-fired pizzas, fish specials

“Wood-fired pizzas add to the comfort of the place, where it seems everyone really does know everyone else. Every time, though, it’s the New York strip and chimichurri sauce that finds its way to my plate.”

— Jim Myers, The Tennessean, “Top 25 Restaurants in Nashville,” June 21, 2016
