With an award-winning food truck and a brick-and-mortar location in the works, Chef Julio Hernandez’s Maiz De La Vida has built a following thank to crispy tacos and tamales using handmade tortillas made from GMO-free heirloom corn.

The food truck is parked six days a week outside Chopper tiki lounge in East Nashville: 5-9 pm Tue-Thu, 5-10 pm Fri, noon-9 pm Sat, noon-8 pm Sun. Closed Mon.
