Poverty and the Arts (POVA) is a social enterprise 501c3 nonprofit that works with artists impacted by homelessness. Through POVA’s Artist Collective, homeless and formerly homeless artists find opportunities to grow creatively and earn income through their art earning 60% commission on original artwork sales and 25% of prints and other merchandise featuring their designs. Learn more about our Artist Collective here and visit the East Nashville Studio/Gallery at 1207 Dickerson Pike!

Mission
Poverty and the Arts (POVA) is a social enterprise nonprofit that exists to equip people impacted by homelessness with the creative resources, training, and marketplace to overcome barriers to employment and income by leveraging their creative talent, participating in developmental workshops, and establishing vital social networks and relationships. 

Vision
POVA strives to create artistic and economic opportunities for those who have been denied them and to advance new models of economic justice and community that are sustainable and replicable.

Monday – 10am-4pm
Wednesday – 11am-5pm
Friday – 11am-2pm
Saturday – 11am-4pm
