Founded in 2005, Tennessee Women’s Theater Project produces plays that express the human condition in the female voice and provides acting, directing, design and management opportunities for women in professional theater. Our annual Women’s Work Festival, founded in 2007, is the first and still the only celebration focused on the work of women artists, from dance to theater to music, poetry, film, storytelling, circus, comedy and classical clown performance, to visual arts including all media.

From the beginning we have also conducted theater arts and storytelling classes. At present these free classes are offered to children who use the Looby Community and Recreation Center after school.
