Ashland City is a town in and the county seat of Cheatham County, Tennessee. The population was 4,541 as of the 2010 census. Ashland City was created in 1856 as a county seat for the newly established Cheatham County.
Ashland City has four parks and over 200 acres of recreation area for visitors to enjoy. The Bicentennial Trail is enjoyed by thousands each year for walking, running and biking, and access to the river to fish or play is located at our 10+ acre River Bluff Park. The city hosts multiple events throughout the year which include our Spring River & Roots, Summerfest, October’s Music on Main, and the City’s annual Christmas parade and events downtown.
