The Wildhorse Saloon is located in the heart of historic downtown Nashville with the banks of the Cumberland River right outside their back door. Before the age of interstate highways, floating barges had a brisk trade in cattle and crops. In an effort to revitalize the once robust Second Avenue area, Gaylord Entertainment turned a three-story historic warehouse into a country music entertainment and dining mecca with the beginnings of a TNN televised dance show. On June 3rd, 1994 a herd of cattle ran through the streets of Music City to the front doors of the Wildhorse Saloon and since that day, millions of music fans from around the world have stampeded through the doors for THE Nashville Experience.
