Erica Ciccarone is a writer fascinated by the mundane and absurd alike. She has published work about art and culture in Nashville Scene, Nashville Arts, Burnaway, and Out & About Nashville. Her fiction has appeared in ThisRecording, Epiphany Journal, and H.O.W. Journal. Her monologues "A Letter from My Husband (Who I Have Not Yet Met)" were performed at Unboxed Voices Short Play Festival in New York, NY. She is documenting her observations as a New Yorker living in the South in an upcoming collection of essays and on her arts and culture blog, NYCnash.
Erica holds an M.F.A. from the New School Creative Writing Program ('07) and a B.A. in Engish from Loyola University New Orleans ('04). She formerly taught English at Borough of Manhattan Community College and Berkeley College in New York. She loves Nashville but misses hearing five languages being spoken witin a one block radius, busy delis where one must order a sandwich in 15 seconds or less, and being shoved onto the street as she looks up at the clouds.
