Steve Barnett is an American singer songwriter and multi instrumentalist based out of Nashville Tennessee. He first started playing piano at age 5 but he has since added the guitar, the drum set the electric bass, and mandolin to his arsenal.  His primary focus has been on songwriting.  In 2009 he made his first EP entitled “Seven Wonders,” and in 2012 he released his first full length LP “Imperfections.” Comprised of both fictional and real anecdotes, his songs represent the struggles of a young man coming to terms with matters of the heart. From a young age, Steve was influenced by the music of the Beach Boys, the Beatles, and James Taylor. More recently, his music has been inspired by numerous pop-rock artists including Keane, Coldplay, A Great Big World, Sara Bareilles, Hanson, and Brendan James. Barnett says, “These artists along with many others are role models for me as a musician because of their honesty, and connectivity to their fan base.” Steve is set to release his second full length LP entitled “Singin’ In the Road,” in March 2016. When he’s not working on his own projects, Steve can be found playing piano for the indie-pop group TASH, working on bluegrass mandolin, or watching “The Office.” - Submitted
