Try something new this Spring and experience the healthful benefits of working with your hands in clay!
Try something new this Spring by experiencing the healthful benefits of working with your hands in clay for our 6 week Pottery Class! Our class offers a variety of instruction in wheel throwing, coil, slab, and pinch techniques at Cone 6 Firing Temperature.
Get your hands dirty making your very own cups, bowls, and plates on and off the pottery wheel! Try fun, colorful surface design techniques and discover your voice making gifts for yourself and others! Uncover layers of color using sgraffito; Make colorful slabs using image transfer techniques-then turning these painterly images into cups, mugs, plates, and bowls. Build nooks and crannies with lids, compartments, and drawers.
Have a special project in mind? Bring it to class and realize your vision through independent or guided instruction. Small class sizes offer plenty of one-on-one time with the teacher and ample amounts of open studio time during class. Open Studio avilable every Thursday!
Experience is helpful but not necessary.
