2018 Symphony Fashion Show

Presented by Nashville Symphony at Schermerhorn Symphony Center

Jason Wu is a leading global design talent based in New York, NY. Through merging classic American sportswear elements with a sophisticated global attitude he has created timeless classics with glamorous sensibility and a distinctively feminine aesthetic.

Since debuting his Ready-to-Wear collection in 2007, Jason has been dedicated to making clothes that are beautifully crafted from the inside out. With a focus on couture quality craftsmanship, over 90% of the Jason Wu Collection is manufactured in New York City’s Garment District.

Although only 34, the precocious designer has already achieved many of his aspirations. His collection is sold globally and he dresses some of the most influential women in the world including First Lady Michelle Obama, Reese Witherspoon, Julianne Moore, Diane Kruger, Kerry Washington and Christy Turlington, among many others.

Jason has received many accolades, including being named one of the finalists in the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund in July 2008. In June 2010 he won the Swarovski Award for Womenswear at the CFDA Fashion Awards and in April 2011 he was nominated for the CFDA/Swarovski Award for Accessory Design. Jason was appointed Artistic Director of Hugo Boss womenswear Ready to Wear and Accessory collection in June 2013. More recently, Jason was honored with the Fashion Star Award at The Fashion Group International Night of Stars 2015, and won the 2016 International Designer of Year at the Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards.

In June 2016, Jason Wu expanded with the arrival of GREY Jason Wu, a sister brand that is inherently connected to the main line. Named after his favorite color, GREY Jason Wu shares the femininity from the Jason Wu collection but with a more relaxed attitude. For his new line, Jason wanted to create a collection with relaxed, sophisticated silhouettes with unexpected graphic prints representative of his personality.

Phillip Sweet, Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman and Jimi Westbrook make up the GRAMMY® Award-winning group Little Big Town. Little Big Town first entered the music scene more than 18 years ago with hits such as “Boondocks,” “Bring It on Home,” “Good As Gone” and “Little White Church,” as well as their No. 1 singles “Pontoon,” “Tornado,” “Day Drinking,” “Girl Crush” and “Better Man.” The critically acclaimed group has amassed more than 50 award show nominations and recently earned their 26th career CMA nomination, including a nomination for album of the year for their chart-topping album, The Breaker. The band is the reigning ACM and CMA Vocal Group of the Year, as well as the current People’s Choice Choice Country Group winner, and launched a history-making, sold-out, year-long artist residency at the famed Ryman Auditorium in Nashville earlier this year — marking the venue’s first-ever year-long residency in its 125-year history.
