Breakaway Music Festival returns to Nashville at its new home of Fair Park at the Nashville Fairgrounds on October 11th and 12th.
Breakaway is Prime Social Group’s signature multi-city event and has seen mass success through its expansion across the country. Last year, Nashville – also known as “Music City USA” – became the festival’s newest home and will host its second edition of the festival this year. Breakaway will also be returning to Columbus, Ohio; Grand Rapids, Michigan; and Charlotte, North Carolina. Collectively, the Breakaway series hosted 65,000 attendees last year.
Platinum artist and Atlanta rapper Future will be headlining the hip-hop portion of the festival. The celebrated rapper has been dominating the charts for years, and his seventh album The Wizrd debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, making it his sixth number one album in the US. Top-tier billing continues with fellow Atlanta rapper, Lil Baby. Lil Baby rose to fame when his album “Harder Than Ever” gained traction in the rap community, featuring tracks like “Yes Indeed” with Drake. He’s gone on to collaborate on with artists like Lil Yachty, Gunna, and Young Thug.
Taking his place on stage as one of the EDM headliners will be veteran DJ and renowned producer, Kaskade, best known for his new wave influences and uplifting, melodic productions that have helped shape the progressive house scene over the last decade including tracks like “Disarm You”, “I Remember”, “Never Sleep Alone”, and more. Toronto-based house/dubstep trailblazers, Zeds Dead will also be headlining this year. The pair have had no shortage of heavy-hitting collaborations with the likes of Diplo, Pusha T, Illenium, Jauz, Jadakiss and more, and have released work across a multitude of labels from Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak, Diplo’s Mad Decent, and their own label, Deadbeats. Australia’s most popular export, FISHER will also be joining them. The “Losing It” professional surfer turned DJ is sure to attract a wild crowd with his mischievous and energetic performance.
The lineup extends further with performances by rapper and DJ Snake collaborator Gashi, electro-house legend and curator of the chart topping “HOWSLA” collection Chris Lake, indie and electronic blender Shallou, the clever West Coast lyrical stylings of rapper and vocalist Bryce Vine, Canadian EDM powerhouse Ekali, and Prime Artist’s own Kid Quill and Emogee.
Each edition of Breakaway promises lineups filled with multi-genre talents that embody the sounds of today. Ticket holders are able to catch acts ranging from hip-hop artists, to international DJs, to chart smashing pop stars, and beyond. Past lineups have included Atlanta trap trio Migos, electronic live act duo Odesza, Chicago’s own EDM sensation Kaskade, cult favorite rapper Wiz Khalifa, award winning singer-songwriter Khalid, critically acclaimed Houston-born rapper Travis Scott, electro-house Grammy award winner Zedd, and many more.
