Rigoletto Dress Rehearsal

Rigoletto Dress Rehearsal

Presented by Tennessee Performing Arts Center, TPAC (CURRENTLY HOSTING ONLINE EVENTS) and Nashville Opera at TEMPORARILY CLOSED TPAC - James K. Polk Theater

Giuseppe Verdi’s gritty opera tells the story of the wise-cracking and despised Rigoletto, who is powerless to protect his beloved daughter, Gilda, from his immoral boss, Duke. Their lives take a tragic turn when Rigoletto’s caustic mockery leads to a fateful curse. John Hoomes’ creative new staging puts an edgy, film-noir spin on the story while letting Verdi’s music pack its original punch. Sung in Italian with projected English supertitles.
