Love and knowledge of old-time American music drives multi-instrumentalist Hubby Jenkins. Born and raised in Brooklyn, he delved into his Southern roots: the African American history thread woven into music from country blues to traditional jazz. He developed his craft on sidewalks and subway platforms as a busker, then took his show on the road to cities across the country. From 2010?2016, Hubby was an integral part of the Grammy Award-winning Carolina Chocolate Drops. Since 2015, he has toured and recorded with Rhiannon Giddens.
