Matraca Berg wrote the 1997 CMA Song of the Year “Strawberry Wine,” recorded by Deana Carter, as well as “I Don’t Feel Like Loving You Today” (Gretchen Wilson), “The Last One to Know” (Reba McEntire), “Wild Angels” (Martina McBride), “You and Tequila” (Kenny Chesney and Grace Potter), “You Can Feel Bad” (Patty Loveless), and “XXX’s and OOO’s (An American Girl)” (Trisha Yearwood). Jeff Hanna wrote the Grammy Best Country Song of the Year award winner, “Bless the Broken Road,” recorded by Rascal Flatts. As a member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Hanna has written many of their most-loved songs, including “Baby’s Got a Hold on Me,” “Down That Road Tonight,” “Fire in the Sky,” “I’ve Been Lookin’,” and “Partners, Brothers and Friends.”
