Jackson's Library Card: Virtual Book Club

Jackson's Library Card: Virtual Book Club

Presented by Andrew Jackson's Hermitage at ONLINE

Join Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage and their education staff for a monthly virtual book club!

Grab a snack and your favorite beverage and then log into Zoom for an hour-long meet-up with fellow readers. This is a great chance to discuss the book, ask questions and get to know this work of fiction on a deeper level.

Jackson's Library Card meets the first Tuesday of the month. Books are chosen quarterly and include historical and modern works in both fiction and nonfiction. This is a fun way to engage with fellow readers worldwide, all while remaining socially distant.

August's read is Polk: The Man Who Transformed the Presidency and America by Walter R. Borneman.

Summer is the perfect time to dive into a new book! Get your hands on a copy and join the Jackson’s Library Card book club to get to know this piece of work on a deeper level.

Hard copies are available through your local library or are available to purchase inexpensively from most booksellers. If you prefer e-books, this biography can be accessed from public libraries and through the apps OverDrive and Libby. Additionally, audio versions are accessible through providers such as Audible.com for a small fee.

This hour-long Zoom meet-up is a great way to get to discuss this well-known biography with fellow readers! There will also be some time to ask questions.
