The Bluebird Cafe is now taking phone in sign-ups for their Monday Night Open Mic.

In order to sign-up, please call (615) 943-8168 between the hours of 11am and Noon CST on Monday in order to sign up to participate.

• You will not be able to leave a message; you need to keep trying ’til you get through to someone who will put you on the list.
• They will take the first 20 songwriters who call in to sign-up (each songwriter is allowed one guest). Due to reduced capacity seating, they have limited the available performance slots for Open Mic Night to 20 writers. In an effort to include as many writers as possible, they ask that participating songwriters not sign up for two consecutive Open Mic night shows. 
• Writers who are on the list must be at the club and have checked in with the host by 5:15pm on that Monday evening in order to perform.
• They will be honoring any existing “Play Next Time” stamps but will not be distributing any more.

Please remember the following guidelines as they remain in place:

• Each participating writer will get the chance to play 1-2 original songs, solo or accompanied by no more than two others on stage.
• Drums and backing tracks are not allowed.
• They have a house Taylor Grand Pacific guitar and a Kawai digital piano (88-weighted keys) that are available to use.
• PLEASE NOTE: Priority is not given to out-of-town/out-of-state songwriters.

Open Mic Nights are made possible by The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The RIAA recognizes the importance of The Bluebird Cafe as providing opportunities, not just to established writers and artists, but also to those who are developing their talents and their careers. Tickets for these shows are not reserved in advance. These seats are available on a first come/ first served basis when doors open. Please note that you may be seated with person outside of your immediate party. 

In an effort to keep guests, staff and songwriters safe, The Bluebird Cafe has joined many other local venues in asking for proof of government-issued photo ID along with full course of vaccination or negative lab conducted Covid-19 test within 48 hours of show entry. If you are making reservations for a group, please relay this information to all members of your party so everyone can be seated. By purchasing tickets, you and all of your party agree to these conditions.
