East Side Art Stumble kicks off the fall season making new friends and keeping the old as it welcomes a new venue (Modern East Gallery), and
another Popup exhibit entitled “Burning Down The House” to this month’s Stumble. Add that to the original Stumble venues, and you’ve got a sweet
treat for Artober on the East Side
This month’s participating galleries and businesses include:
ESAS welcomes Modern East Gallery into the mix of stumble stops and congratulates them on their opening last month. Modern East Gallery, located in The Shoppes On Fatherland is the first Gallery in Nashville exclusively showcasing photography. Their October exhibit displays the works of threedifferent Photographers, each sharing a unique perspective of the world. Brandon Felts (Wanderlust Imagery) presents “Lookup Club”, an architectural perspective to the sky, highlighting strong lines and beautiful skies. Jennifer Stalvey shares ” West Coast East” displaying, images influenced by Christenberry and Eggleston while living in California, a photographic journey from her West home to the soulful East. Artist Kelsey Ann Swanson’s imagery will give tribute to the imagination through her dreamy and whimsical portraits.
Gallery Luperca is pleased to present the graphite illustrations of Chip Boles and ceramic sculptures of Meghan Borland in “Above the Surface¨ an exhibition exploring surface detail and texture. The show runs from October 10 through October 29, 2015.
Red Arrow Gallery will be hosting an “open house” in conjunction with the Art Stumble, for any of those interested in catching a sneak peak of their new space in the works. Guests are encouraged to stop by, show their support and provide a love offering for their kickstarter campaign should they feel so inclined. The Art Stumble welcomes yet another “newby” to this month’s lineup and it looks promising. The one night only, popup exhibit of “ Burning Down The House” ventures to pack out an Artist’s newly acquired East Nashville residence with art from over 15 local and regional artists. Aaron Hiley, Brandon Donahue, Chelsea Velaga, Joe Nunez and Nick Doty, to name a few, will be lining the walls with their paintings, sculptures, photos and more.
