This event, originally scheduled for May 3, has been moved to November 22 due to COVID-19 concerns.
An exciting lineup of speakers and vegan celebrities will be on hand to educate, showcase and inspire with a variety of family-friendly activities, including cooking and fitness demos and a kids’ fun-zone. This year’s presenting sponsor is The Gentle Barn-a farm sanctuary for abused animals that would otherwise be unable to find homes.
New for 2020 is the plan for a dedicated Education Day on Saturday, November 21st, 2020. Nashville VegFest will present a wide array of speakers and a handful of vendors at the venue. A proper announcement will be made, once all is finalized. Admission to the education day is free, but a $5 donation is suggested.
The festival will take place on Sunday, November 22nd from 11 am – 5 pm at The Fairgrounds new building in Expo 3, which is located at 401 Wingrove Street, southeast of Downtown Nashville on the Nolensville Pike. Along with demos, speakers and over 90 vendors, attendees can look forward to plant-based/cruelty-free samples, live entertainment and giveaways.
Festival organizers are especially excited to bring VegFest to Nashville for its fifth year, especially since 2019 was declared the “Year of the Vegan” by several major news outlets. Forbes predicts that 2019 will be the year that more people embrace a plant-based lifestyle and The Economist says that veganism will be this year’s most popular topic. Here’s your chance to discover what all the buzz is about!
Thanks to help from Compost Nashville, this will be a ZERO WASTE event. Festival-goers, please BYOB (Bring your own bags or bottles). Recycling bins will be available for non-compostable items. Free water will also be available at our water station located inside the venue.
