Food/Drink - Music
115 27th Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37203
Open since 1896 and staking claim as the oldest bar in the state of Tennessee, Midtown’s Springwater Supper Club and Lounge overlooking Centennial Park remains a beloved dive bar and nightclub specializing in cold beer, billiards, darts, and on stage the scruffier side of rock ‘n’ roll and other emergent musical forces. Country star Dierks Bentley cut his musical teeth here back in the day, and Taylor Swift and The Black Keys are among the locally based superstars who have filmed music videos on location. Oh, and gangster Al Capone tipped a few back in the day, which is the Midwest-Southeast equivalent of Washington Slept Here. Be forewarned that the Supper Club in the title is more concept than reality. Hog Heaven’s most excellent barbecue is next door, however, with the Golden Arches a few steps beyond.
Cash only. Beer available. Open noon-3 am daily.
