The iconic Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, the flagship property of Gaylord Hotels now part of the Marriott portfolio, will re-open its doors on Thursday, June 25, 2020.

“The summer leisure travel season is quickly approaching and Gaylord Opryland Resort, along with our four-acre upscale indoor/outdoor water attraction – SoundWaves – will re-open to visitors who are anxious to get out and celebrate summer,” said Vice President and Market General Manager John Adams.

In accordance with Marriott’s “Commitment to Clean” standards and response to the new normal, the resort will provide new cleaning technology, hospital-grade disinfectants, attendants dedicated to sanitizing frequently throughout the day, new social distancing practices, and hundreds of enhanced cleaning protocols to take care of guests while they enjoy the resort’s amenities.

Additionally, Gaylord Opryland Resort’s ownership group, Ryman Hospitality Properties, Inc. (NYSE:RHP) recently announced it has selected Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC), a leader in medical research, as its official wellness advisor. These combined efforts will further support Gaylord Opryland’s multi-phased health and sanitation re-opening plans, procedures, and staff training.

The 2,888-room hotel offers “everything in one place”— SoundWaves upscale indoor/outdoor water attraction, diverse dining options, a full-service spa, top-notch entertainment, on-site shopping, an award-winning golf course and more. Throughout the summer season, guests can enjoy SoundWaves, an unexpected aquatic attraction that features relaxing water features and energetic rides, as well as a host of other family-friendly events and activities such as a self-guided Hotel & Garden Tour that explores the fascinating history and horticulture of the resort, a Delta Riverboat Cruise that travels down a scenic river winding through the resort’s Delta Atrium, the Sounds of Summer & Aqua Fountain Light Show, resort-wide Scavenger Hunt, and more.

“Guests will be able to enjoy amenities of the resort, as well as the thrill of riding the waves or relaxing while floating along the lazy river at SoundWaves, an experience that is exclusive to Nashville and is fun for the entire family,” added Adams.
