The Amish Heritage Farm Museum was one of the first Amish farms settled in Tennessee in 1944, when the Amish emigrated from Ohio and Mississippi. It was a fully functioning Amish farm, until several years ago, when the family sold the farm and moved further out into the country. Today, due to the generosity of a local Amish family, both the Amish House and Dawdi Haus have been restored back to their original state, complete with period furnishings and artifacts from the 1944 era. A replica one room Amish school house was also added to the grounds and has been set up to accurately depict a local Amish school house. Our guided, educational tours offer a rare glimpse into Amish culture, and their daily lives.

Tours include both the Amish farmhouse and Dawdi Haus Museum, Amish school house, Harness Shop, and Hen-house with animals. We even have an authentic Amish buggy that you can take pictures in! Photos allowed on this Farm ONLY! The Amish Heritage Farm Museum is also available for private events.

We also offer Horse Drawn Wagon Rides through the beautiful Amish countryside with a knowledgeable, local guide. Stops at several Amish farms for a chance to purchase their produce, baked goods, and more included during tour! So much to see and learn, it’s fun for everyone! Group discounts available. The Amish Heritage Welcome Center also has FREE maps of the local Amish community, and is the ONLY gift shop in Amish country featuring all quality, handcrafted Amish furniture, leather goods, soaps, baskets, quilts and much more! All on consignment by local Amish. Your purchase helps support the local Amish community!
Take a tour with a local guide, and learn about Amish culture! NO WHERE ELSE can you tour inside an authentic Amish house, barns and school house and take pictures!

There are two Amish Welcome Centers located next to each other, but we are the ONLY Amish Welcome Center providing tours of the historic Amish Museum, as well as an air conditioned seating/dining area with a Snack Bar and restrooms, where you can relax in comfort between tours, or enjoy your own sack lunch. Save money by bringing your own lunch, and make a day of it! Group Tours welcome and discounts available! Look for the building with the paved parking lot and American flags on top!
