This week’s ice storm in Middle Tennessee (also known on social media as #IceApocalypse2015 #Iceville #OldSlickory) resulted in the cancellation of numerous events around town. The good news is that many were merely postponed to a later date. To the best of our knowledge, and from what venues have told us, here’s a running list of those events and new dates. Check back with us for updates, or let us know in the comments if you know of more. If you didn’t know some of these events were going on, consider this your second chance!
While TPAC Events Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and the Nashville Repertory Theatre’s production of The Whipping Man were canceled on 2/17 and 2/18, tickets for those shows can be exchanged. Email BoxOffice@TPAC.org for more info.
Shake: Interactive Sculptures by Alex Lockwood at OZ Nashville has been pushed back a week and will now open on February 26 and run through March 27.
BlackBerry Smoke at the Ryman Auditorium, originally scheduled for February 18, has been rescheduled for April 3. February 18 tickets will be honored.
Science Time Cafe Preents Time, Einstein and Time Travel at the Adventure Science Center, scheduled for Thursday, February 19, has been moved to Thursday, May 28.
The 13th Annual Woman Against MS Luncheon at Belle Meade Country Club, originally scheduled for Thursday, February 19, has been rescheduled for March 10.
Arlo Guthrie’s Shows at City Winery on February 17 and 18 will be rescheduled. Dates TBA. We’ll let you know as soon as we hear.
Artist Ashley Hunt’s Screening of the documentary CORRECTIONS on February 18 and Lecture on February 19 at Watkins College of Art, Design and Film have both been postponed with a new date TBA. We’ll update here when we know.
The February 19 performance of Jack’s Tale, A Mythic Mountain Musical has been canceled. The show will open on Saturday, February 21 and tickets can be transferred to any other performance of Jack’s Tale.
The EastCAN (East Nashville Community Action Network) Community Meeting focused on animal adoption and foster care scheduled for February 21 has been rescheduled for March 28.
The Chinese New Year celebration at the Discovery Center at Murfree Spring in Murfreesboro scheduled for February 20 has been postponed and will be rescheduled. Please check back for more info.
Charlie Wilson’s Forever Charlie Tour with special guests Kem and Joe at Bridgestone Arena, scheduled for Friday, February 20, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 25. All original tix will be honored.
Lee Ann Womack’s show at the City Winery on Friday, February 20 has been postponed, with a make-up date TBA. Advance ticket holders will receive an email instructing them on next steps. Once we have the date, we’ll post here.
Howlin’ After Dark at Howlin’ Books, scheduled for Friday, March 6, has been rescheduled for April 3.
