Tullahoma Regional Airport/William Northern Field
The Tullahoma Regional Airport plays a vital role in the economic growth of Tullahoma and the surrounding region. Located less than a mile from restaurants, lodging and shopping, it operates on an airport originally constructed for the U.S. Army Air Corps.
The Airport completed a $4.3 million paving project that significantly enhanced the Airport’s ability to support a wide variety of business and recreational opportunities. The 5,500-foot-long runway is capable of handling all types of corporate jet aircraft. The Airport also offers an additional 4,200-foot paved runway and a 2,700-foot-long grass runway. A variety of VOR, GPS, NDB and SDF instrument approaches are published for both paved runways and offer the lowest GPS approach ceiling and visibility minimums in this part of Tennessee. Jet-A fuel and AVGAS truck services are available.
The city-owned Airport contains 775 acres of land and has a 100-acre select Tennessee site ready for development on the northwest corner of the airport. Water, sewer service and fiber are available. This space is open to both airfield access required and non-airfield access required business development. Ground lease agreements up to a maximum of 40 years are available.
With 23 new private hangars, the Airport is home to over 140 based aircraft. The Airport averages about 40,000 flight operations each year and features a new, modern and spacious terminal building.
