The 404 | Kitchen
Moved in late November 2017 just down the street to the refurbished former Watermark spot, The Gulch standout The Kitchen at The 404 had long since outgrown its cramped quarters in a converted shipping container adjoining the intimate five-room, upscale The 404 Hotel. Personable Executive Chef Matt Bolus and his talented kitchen consistently serve some of the best farm-to-table, New Southern cuisine in the city. The ground floor contains the equally highly anticipated Gertie’s Bar at The 404, all the better to experience The 404’s splendid bar service and in particular its unsurpassed-locally whiskey list.
Full bar. Serving dinner 5pm-10pm Monday-Thursday, 5pm-10:30pm Friday-Saturday, Closed Sunday.
MUST EATS: Butter beans, rabbit, seafood entrees, Anson Mills skillet cornbread
“Chef Matt Bolus … is one of my favorites for bringing the best of place and time, of peak seasonality, to his cooking. Everyone talks it, but few deliver as well as Bolus.”
