Julie Martin Gallery Founded in 2013, Julia Martin Gallery is a dynamic space dedicated to exhibitions of contemporary art alongside a robust music and performance program. Located in Nashville’s Wedgewood Houston arts district in an historic L&N Railroad house, Julia Martin Gallery encourages visitors to linger and contemplate art in an environment that is welcoming and inclusive rather than a white cube. Primarily focusing on the exhibition of artwork by local and regional artists, each exhibition has a musical or performance element showcasing the intersection of Nashville’s rich visual and musical culture. Lipscomb University - John C. Hutcheson Gallery

The John C. Hutcheson Gallery in the James D. Hughes Center opened fall 2010. Curated by Lipscomb art department faculty, the Hutcheson Gallery will feature a variety of exhibitions each semester. This gallery will provide an opportunity to study, exhibit, stimulate appreciation for and advance knowledge of works of art that collectively represent the broadest spectrum of human achievement and artistic interests. Occasional free lectures by nationally and regionally known artists will be held in conjunction with the exhibitions. The gallery is located in the James D. Hughes Center, the newest building on campus. It is best accessible from Belmont Boulevard.

Little Art House

Manchester Arts Center

The Manchester Arts Center was purchased on May 3, 2008. It officially opened for business with the production of "Seussical," the musical, in June of 2009. It took that long to turn the former furniture store into a performing arts venue with the availability to have visual arts classes as well. It was worth the wait! The theatre area has 136 comfortable theatre seats and has the capacity to seat 150 or more with the addition of folding chairs. The 40 foot wide stage has a proscenium arch and a moveable canvas backdrop, which can either be painted or used temporarily as a scrim.

Marnie Sheridan Gallery at Harpeth Hall

The Marnie Sheridan Gallery is a teaching gallery, a space for learning about various cultures, styles of art, and different artistic mediums. Many activities take place in the gallery, and exhibits are scheduled to focus, when possible, on themes appropriate to the curriculum. This gallery is dedicated to the memory of Marnie Sheridan, a gifted artist from the Harpeth Hall Class of 1972, whose life was tragically cut short. Metro Arts Gallery

The Metro Arts Gallery is a high-vaulted, light-filled corridor within the public area of Metro Arts Commission’s offices, located on the fourth floor of the Metro Office Building in the Richard Fulton Complex. The gallery includes 100 linear feet of wall space and several pedestals for displaying sculpture. The Metro Arts Commission is pleased to offer a venue where local artists can showcase their work. We welcome the public to visit the gallery and see an array of artworks available in Nashville. Gallery Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm

Mild Climate

Mild Climate is an artist-run space and curatorial collective that aims to support experimentation, facilitate a dialogue between local and international emerging artists, and cultivate a contemporary art scene in Nashville, TN. Founded in 2014 as The Packing Plant, the project began as a series of pop-up exhibitions in the raw and unfinished building of the same name. In 2016, the name of mild climate was taken up, transforming into a collective with an interest in alternative programming as well as traditional gallery exhibitions. Regular exhibitions take place at the mild climate gallery space at 507C Hagan Street in Nashville, in addition to a strong commitment to off-site projects. First floor, The Packing Plant Arts Building.

MOCAN

MOCAN We host contemporary art exhibition pop-ups asynchronously throughout Nashville as a way to engage with the community, build awareness, and demonstrate the market need for a permanent contemporary art museum. This will be an integral part of MOCAN's story, defining its creation and demonstrating the power that a community has to change the world. Modfellows Art Gallery - Grassmere

Modfellows Art Gallery is a 2000 sq ft space, once owned by Nashville artist and estate manager Dale Morris, used to house gold records and tour buses for some of country music’s biggest acts. Modfellows has two locations, the main gallery is located near the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere and the second is located in the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood of Nashville. The office is located at the main gallery location in Grassmere. Modfellows shows many types of art including paintings, photography, sculptures, ceramics and glass. Owners, Rich and Julie Modica have both had long careers outside of the art world, Rich in music and Julie in marketing. Rich has traveled the world as a tour/production manager for artists Dwight Yoakam, Morrissey, Jakob Dylan, and Brian Setzer to name a few. But, both share a passion for art, design, vintage and collectibles - including mid century furniture, art, ceramics and glass. MTSU | Baldwin Photographic Gallery

Located within the John Bragg College of Media and Entertainment Building (BRAGG) at Middle Tennessee State University, the Baldwin Photographic Gallery provides access to inspiring photographic works for the students and faculty of Middle Tennessee State University as well as the general public. The Baldwin Photographic Gallery has a long tradition of exhibiting photographic works of national and international stature, and brings exhibiting artists to MTSU to conduct workshops and lectures. The gallery was founded in 1964 by Professor Harold Baldwin. He served as curator of the gallery and Professor of Photography until his retirement in 1991. The gallery was formally named for Mr. Baldwin in 1996. Mr. Baldwin made a large gift in 2013 to build a new gallery space opening January 27, 2014. Professor Baldwin also established a permanent gallery collection of prints of exhibiting artists. The Baldwin Collection includes the works of notable artists such as Ansel Adams, Minor White, and Jerry Uelsmann. Professor of Photography, Tom Jimison has served as curator of the Baldwin Photographic Gallery and Collection since 1991.
