Whooping Crane Farm

Originally built as a "dog trot"-style home in the late 1800s, Whooping Crane Farm, in the 1940s known as the West Family Farm, served as the home of Lucy Southgate Betty West and George Christian West and their children: Georgianna Lucy, and George. Beginning in the 1930s the farm had a working dairy farm, crop production and a sawmill on its 200 acres. Wildwood Resort & Marina

Set among the pristine beauty of the Cumberland river, Wildwood Resort and Marina is located in the historic town of Granville, a community started in the early 1800s and once well known for its river commerce when Nashville’s goods were shipped down river and sold in the local department store. Wildwood (formerly Granville Marina) launched in the early 1970s. In January 2018, long time lovers of Granville, John and Natasha Deane and Kevin and Donna Jones, two couples who own homes in Granville, care deeply about the community and share a common vision for hospitality. The Deane and Jones families are expanding Wildwood to include pontoon boat rentals, a small Airstream village for overnight rentals, an expanded RV and tent campground, the Timberloft Lakeside Restaurant featuring Tennessee barbecue smoked on-site, and monthly Singer-Songwriter Nights on the second Saturday of each month during the summer season. The resort and marina will also offer cabin and lodge amenities, new outdoor furniture and grilling facilities, high speed internet access and a retail shop with limited groceries.
