Located in Franklin, the Historic Carton is a private non-profit historic site featuring a restored antebellum home, a recreated one-acre 1847 garden, slave quarters, smokehouse, springhouse and the adjacent Confederate and family cemetery. Tours are available.
The Battle of Franklin Trust is dedicated to a better understanding of the five bloodiest hours of the American Civil War. Two historic landmarks witnessed the carnage firsthand: The Carter House and Carnton.
