This state office complex was named for Tennessean Cordell Hull, who served as Secretary of State under President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and was the first Tennessean to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

The Cordell Hull Building is located on the grounds of the Tennessee State Capitol.
