The Fisk Memorial Chapel is the primary assembly area on the Fisk University Campus and is rich in intellectual and cultural history.

The Chapel, with a seating capacity of approximately 800, was designed by William B. Bigelow of New York City and was completed in 1892. The Chapel houses an extraordinary 40 rank Holtkamp pipe organ, which is one of the finest examples in the United States of the work of organ-builder, Walter Holtkamp Sr. In 1992, the Chapel was restored under the direction of the U.S. Park Service through an appropriation from Congress. The Fisk Memorial Chapel is the home performance site for the famous Fisk Jubilee Singers.
