Grannis Photography

Grannis Photography is a Nashville-based photography studio focused on portraiture and commercial work. We also have an extensive collection of vintage Nashville photographs taken by the late Bob Grannis. Grannis chronicled Nashville life in photographs from 1939 until his retirement in 1997. His photographs of schools, sports, the Grand Ole Opry, and the Nashville cityscape often evoke fond reminiscences among natives of the city. A stout man, Grannis was well known as “Nashville’s Largest Photographer.” In 1997, Leila Grossman purchased Grannis Photography and the archive.
