Tucked away, directly to the northeast of the Downtown Square in Columbia, Riverwalk Park is a true gem and a must-visit location while in town! Built on the historic ground of Pillow Park, Riverwalk Park continues the long standing tradition of providing a serene and quiet location for residents and visitors to come and enjoy each and every day of the week.
Featuring a number of events, both big and small, it’s very common to see this park buzzing with activity. The Riverwalk hosts such events as the First Tennessee Muletown Barbecue Cook-off, Meriwether Lewis Arts and Crafts Fair, Farmers Market, Concerts, and Movies in the Park, to name a few. Residents of Columbia also regularly use the Riverwalk for their daily walks with friends, families, and pets — including the basketball court and splash pad, there is a lot to do in this park!
Come on over and enjoy the peace and quiet!
Thoughtfully maintained by the Parks and Recreation Department, Riverwalk Park is also a great place to get away from work on your lunch break and take in the sights and sounds. We encourage spontaneous trips and it is not uncommon to see to Rotary Shelter in the center of the park serve as a meeting place for various groups and organizations. Kids will enjoy the splash pad on those hot summer days, and walkers will enjoy the trail that leads all the way up to the local dam.
