Just a stone’s throw from the banks of the Cumberland River (now Cordell Hull Lake), stands T.B. Sutton General Store in Granville, Tennessee. Built in the 1800s, this country store has continuously served the families of the area.
The two-story country store’s unique style features a balcony with many products the store offered for sale during its 90 years of service. The original building has many of the same interior fixtures it had at the turn of the 20th century. Museum-quality furnishings and memorabilia are on display. T. B. Sutton Store is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Available to purchase are unique handmade items, toys of a past era, cookbooks, Stetson hats, Key overalls, pocket knives, old fashion candies, caps, shirts, and other merchandise.
Reminisce at the ice cream counter with a hand-dipped ice cream cone, a root beer float, or a delightful milkshake. Country cooking is available Wednesday through Saturday. You may choose a meat and vegetable plate or one of the famous made-to-order sandwiches. Save room for cobbler and ice cream! Experience Southern hospitality as you dine at the communal table. Adjacent to the general store is a feed room converted into a dining room. It offers family-style country cooking and accommodates groups of up to 55 by reservation.
