The Nashville Arcade was built in 1902 and modeled after an arcade in Italy. It was created in what was once known as Overton Alley by local businessman Daniel C. Buntin as the city’s first enclosed shopping area. Entrances to the Arcade, at Fourth and Fifth Avenues, are marked by identical Palladian facades. The interior space is two stories high, open to the gabled glass roof. The Nashville Arcade has an eclectic group of tenants. Shops and restaurants line both sides of the first level while numerous galleries, shops and offices occupy the second-floor mezzanine.

First Saturday Art Crawl
Art at the Arcade is a group of individual artists, art galleries, and shops located in the Arcade Building in downtown Nashville Tennessee. The Group is solidifying the presence of art in Nashville and participating in the creation of a true art district. Until recently a cohesive art district was non existent, but thanks to Art at the Arcade people now have several art spaces to visit within one building. Art at the Arcade is working with other galleries and artists within downtown Nashville and surrounding areas to propel local arts to a level the city has not seen.
