The Tennessee State Library and Archives is a division of the Department of State, administered by Tre Hargett, Secretary of State. The Library and Archives collects and preserves books and records of historical and legal value, with a focus on items related to Tennessee. It actively promotes library and archival development throughout the state and serves as the home of the state’s Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped.

ALBUQUERQUE LITTLE THEATRE
Parking is available in a limited number of designated visitor spots at the front and side of the Tennessee State Library and Archives building. Visitors CANNOT park in the NUMBERED spots around the building; these spots are reserved Monday – Friday and unauthorized cars will be ticketed and / or towed. On Saturdays, these numbered spots are not reserved and may be used by visitors to the library. Additional parking is available in public lots throughout downtown. Many of the lots are within a few blocks’ walking distance to the Library and Archives.
**Visitor parking on the street near the Library and Archives building is limited.**
The Library Reading Room, the Microfilm Reading Room and Manuscripts at the Tennessee State Library and Archives are open Tuesday through Saturday 8am-4:30pm (Central Time). Legislative History is open Tuesday through Friday 8am-4:30pm (Central Time). The Library and Archives will always be closed on Mondays.
