Vanderbilt Track and Field

The Vanderbilt track and field complex was resurfaced before the 2010 season and is located a few yards from Vanderbilt’s McGugin Athletic Center.

The complex played host to the finest student-athletes from the Southeastern Conference during the 2005 SEC Outdoor Championships.

The athletes discovered one of the finest running surfaces in the Southeast and superb field facilities that allow up-close viewing from the public, all part of a $1.7-million renovation completed in late 2003.

The state-of-the-art complex features a Mondo synthetic track and jump surface, similar to the Olympic venues. The venue also includes a Mondo D-Curve for the javelin and high jump, two containment areas for the discus and hammer throws, and a water element for the steeplechase. The eight-lane track also features a thick, cushioned subsurface ideal for training.
